About This Offer
Bayer Foundation supports social entrepreneurs, innovators, and non-profits working to improve access to health and food security and build resilience in underserved communities in low- and middle-income countries. Our focus is on transformative but scalable, locally driven solutions that address systemic challenges in health, nutrition, sustainable agriculture and climate resilience. Through our Social Innovation work, we provide catalytic, outcome-oriented funding and partnership support to help mature solutions scale their impact. We are particularly interested in organizations with proven models, strong impact measurement, and the potential to reach vulnerable rural or underserved populations at scale. Relevant solutions may empower smallholder farmers, strengthen community-based healthcare, advance women’s health and family planning, improve nutrition, build resilience to climate shocks, or support women as agents of change. In addition, we support outstanding scientists and research-driven innovators whose work advances new solutions to urgent challenges in health and food security. By backing excellent science with clear societal relevance, we help translate knowledge and discovery into practical impact for people and communities most in need. Bayer Foundation also aims to strengthen the broader social innovation ecosystem by connecting partners across sectors, increasing visibility and credibility for high-impact innovators, and helping unlock additional capital through coalitions and innovative financing approaches. We seek partners that are beyond proof of concept, can demonstrate measurable outcomes, and are committed to transparent reporting and responsible, sustainable growth. Funding is typically provided as grant-based support over a defined period, subject to strategic fit, due diligence, governance approval, and agreed milestones. Beyond grants, we work with partners across the capital spectrum to help meet the financing needs of innovative social entrepreneurs.
