ITU Academy
The ITU Academy serves as the ITU’s gateway for capacity development, reaching over 115,000 users (of which 90% are from developing countries) and delivering more than 220 courses annually. It offers a comprehensive catalogue covering topics such as emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, digital inclusion, e-government, networks, statistics and big data, regulation, and spectrum management (available at https://academy.itu.int/training-courses/full-catalogue). Courses are delivered primarily online through instructor-led formats, complemented by face-to-face and blended learning, and all follow a standardized quality assurance process supported by a robust impact evaluation framework.

It currently hosts over 115,000 users (90% of which come from developing countries) from the entire digital sector: policymakers, regulators, government officials, ICT professionals as well as academia. Its course catalogue includes over 220 courses yearly, from introductory to advanced levels, available in several languages. These are delivered over a variety of methodologies, predominantly online, instructor-led, but also face-to-face, blended training and e-learning. Boasting a rich network of capacity development partners (notably the participating institutions in the ITU Academy Training Centres programme), as well as ITU experts’ contributions, courses cover topics ranging from emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, e-government to networks, statistics, regulation, spectrum management. All courses follow a pre-set process to ensure training quality, supplemented by a robust impact evaluation framework to monitor application of knowledge and skills.
