About This Offer

The AI Skills Coalition was created in response to the UN’s call for a global AI capacity-building framework (Governing AI for Humanity Report, 2024) and is reinforced by the Global Digital Compact (Article 61) and WTSA Resolution 101 - (New Delhi, 2024). Led by ITU under the AI for Good Impact Initiative, it is the UN-led global, open, trusted, and inclusive platform for AI education and capacity building. A key focus is equipping professionals across sectors – including business leaders, policymakers, academics, researchers, students, and educators – with AI skills and knowledge. Priority is given to learners from developing and Least Developed Countries, with a strong emphasis on women and girls, to empower governments, businesses, and organizations in leveraging AI for sustainable development and good Policy. The Coalition brings together nearly 80 confirmed partners and offers over 230 training courses through its online catalogue. These courses – either free or priced below USD 50 – span a broad range of AI and data science topics, from introductory modules to advanced specializations, and are delivered by AI for Good and partner institutions. In recognition of his leadership in promoting equitable access to AI education and digital skills for underserved communities, will.i.am has been appointed Goodwill Ambassador for the Coalition and is working closely with ITU and partners to raise awareness and mobilize support for AI education and skills development.
